Worship & Community
Our congregation is made up of people from all walks of life - without regards to ages, genders, races, orientations, and abilities in our experience of worship.
We believe in the priesthood of all believers, meaning that all people have different callings, and all people can be leaders in the church.  What binds us together as a church is the idea that we are all welcome at Godís table and a willingness to journey together in open dialogue.

Our worship services have something for everyone.

Many components of our worship services may be familiar to you. Many of our worship services, including special services, will feature singing, prayer, taking an offering, sermon and communion every week.

Our communion table is open to everyone. There are no requirements or limitations. God welcomes all with open arms, and so do we! We use wafers and grape juice to celebrate communion, as the representation of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Also,  we have individuals who can pray a small blessing for you to the sides of the platform, if you so choose to do so.

MCC believes in the equality of all people and we promote inclusive language that enhances and extends our understanding of God's many names, the nature and description of God to encompass a broader understanding and a more intimate relationship with God.  Wherever possible, song verses and Scripture have been made inclusive.  Instead of masculine only words, we will use non-gendered pronouns in reference to humanity.

Following the example of Jesus and empowered by the Spirit, we seek to be a transformational community that proclaims love and promotes justice in the world. We are a Christian denomination who worship together in love, respecting the spiritual paths of each of our companions on the journey.

Being a new to church can be a challenge and perhaps, even uncomfortable. We understand that, and it is our desire to make sure you are welcomed and ushered into a sense of family.  Check out our Visitor's Page to get more information.

At MCC, we come as we are to Christ and are changed by what we find. We experience a God with open arms, inviting all to take the sacred journey of faith and transformation. We are growing in our faith and claim that our place in society has magnified our place in Godís family. We are one of the many voices of God that, until now, has been lost in the margins!
